Wolverines Lose Tough Match to Bowdoin JV 4-3

Bridgton Academy dropped to 1-4 on the season with a tough 4-3 loss to Bowdoin JV on Friday afternoon. It was a perfect day for soccer, with bright blue sky and a crisp fall air. That was exactly how Bridgton started out- bright and crisp, putting up the first goal of the game in the opening 10 minutes.
The first half saw solid play from Bridgton and Bowdoin as it was a good contest with both teams showing periods of excellent ball control. The score was tied 2-2 going into the half.
The second half saw the Wolverines go away from playing their brand of soccer, and while the game was tight, there were mental lapses that could have cost them additional goals, and likely cost them opportunities to put more points on the board.
It was another good learning experience for the team. Up next: Winchendon School on Sunday at 2 p.m. here at Bridgton Academy where the Wolverines will try to bring their season record to 2-4.
